“Swollen Eyelids - 3 Weeks & 3 Days - Korea”
Spent: $1,200 in Korea
I underwent Blepharoplasty and Epicanthoplasty. I did these procedures because I initially had monolids. It gave me a tired look at times and I wanted a more bright and open eye look.
However, I am very worried about how red the scarring on the inner corner of eyes and how swollen the eyelids still are. will the swelling ever go away or will it stay like this forever?

If my eyes do indeed turn out all right, i do recommend him because I felt cared for and safe during the procedure and he told me everything i needed to know.

Hi xocherie -- Welcome to RealSelf and thank you for sharing your story with us. It's possible you still have some swelling, but to be sure, why don't you also post your question on our Doctor Q&A forum? They'll be able to look at your photo and advise if this is normal healing or not.
Good luck and please keep us posted on your progress. :)
My left side have eyelashes that seem to point upward. They were that way immediately after surgery. Now it's 13 days post op, my lashes are still pointing up like an arrow. Do you think it will come down soon?
Thanks,
Anna
Yeah, definitely. Even after a couple of months, I saw a huge change in swelling. Your eyelashes are most likely pointing upward due to the swelling. Trust me, I know what it feels like to be worried about your eyes not returning to normal but it will. 13 days is nothing, honestly. Wait like 3 months and it will probably look almost normal by then. After about 6 months it'll basically be fully healed.
how did you pick your dr in Chungju? did someone recommend him? how long did you have to stay? can I get more info on your doctor??
