I researched for years about performing a facelift...
These were concerns I addressed with my surgeon, Dr. Pastrick. He was wonderful and addressed all my concerns with me. He took the time to explain everything about how the surgery was going to be performed, explained what to expect throughout the recovery process and took answered all my questions thoroughly. I'd met with other doctors in the area who I felt were very belittling when I asked certain questions, but I never once felt that with Dr. Pastrick.
Like I said, I met with a few other doctors in the Tri-Cities area and had reservations about each one for different reasons. One doctor acted like he didn't have the time of day for me. I felt rushed and belittled during the consultation. Another doctor seemed a little to green around the gills and further research showed he was barely out of residency. While he seemed competent and confident it kind of gave me the feeling he still had his training wheels on and my face was not something for someone still finding their feet to practice on. When I met with Dr. Pastrick I just felt more at ease. I didn't feel rushed at any point and his level of experience was impressive.
In addition the fact that I was more at ease with Dr. Pastrick over the other doctors I spoke to there was another strong factor in his favor - he has his own OR in which he said he only performs the cosmetic surgeries. This was a HUGE plus for me. As I noted earlier, I was worried about having surgery performed on my face and the hospitals in the area are not winning any awards for keeping infection rates down. The last thing I needed was an infection in my face. Having his own OR for cosmetic surgeries with no infections was a weight off my mind heading into surgery.
As for my results I couldn't be any happier. Patience is a virtue when recovering from any surgery, and this was no different. The office staff and the doctor were there to answer any questions I had before and after my surgery. Follow up care was often and thorough and any questions I had were addressed no matter how small they may have been. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Pastrick and would recommend him to everyone I know who is interested in any kind of plastic surgery.
As much as I would love to post a picture on here to show everyone the before and after results of my surgery because I am overjoyed with the results, I do not place my picture on any web format. Call me old fashioned, but it's just not something I'm comfortable with. Don't let that take away from how happy I am. I got the result I was seeking, I get compliments all the time and while this may sound silly to some this experience was life changing for me.

Excellent. Dr. Pastrick took his time to explain everything to me during my consultation. He answered all my questions, no matter how silly they may have been. He gave me a lot of information about how the surgery would be performed, what each portion of the surgery would address and what to expect during the recovery process. I had seen other doctors and felt rushed, belittled or just generally uncomfortable. I didn't feel any of that with Dr. Pastrick and that was part of the reason I chose him. The main reason behind my choosing Dr. Pastrick was his training and experience. After seeing all the doctors I saw I then researched deeper into those I was most comfortable with. There isn't a doctor in the Tri-Cities area with the level of training, experience or results that Dr. Pastrick had available. As an extra incentive, there's also the added bonus that I mentioned in the other review section of Dr. Pastrick having his own OR for the cosmetic surgeries. No worry of infection was a big plus.
