For me, it was just the first 48 hours that were miserable. After that, it was managable. Still sore and hard to move around, but not impossible. My tummy is flat and I LOVE my new belly button. That was my biggest concern.
My only advise - make sure you have a comfortable chair you can sleep in because a bed won't be do-able for a few weeks.
