“Juvederm "okay"”

Juvederm: Worth it

Cost: $525
Pain: Painfree
Juvederm satisfaction: Good3 Star Rating: Good

In the past I've used Restylane, but once Juvederm hit the market, I wanted to give it a try. The results were similar to Restylane, but it does have a noticeably softer, pillowy feel. My doctor said she enjoyed how the injections felt being expelled from the syringe when compared to Restylane. Juvederm, as she described , was "easier to inject". Juvederm felt  nice in the lips. Very natural, soft and no beading at all. Honestly, it didn't feel any different from my natural lips. But....

The reason I say Juvederm was "just okay" is because it didn't add nearly the volume I was getting from Restylane. And while I'm sure another syringe would've done the trick, I couldn't see spending another $500 on Juvederm when a single syringe of Restylane was already working wonders for me.  Restylane (for myself, that is) lasts a long time. Usually a year and a half.

For someone concerned about how their lips may feel to the touch post-injection, or who is seeking a softer, more subtle result, I'd recommend Juvederm highly. I guess I'm just used to the more substantial feel of Restylane- which I also use in my nasal labial folds.
