“Jury still out”
Active FX: Worth it
Pain: Uncomfortable
I JUST HAD THE ACTIVE FX LASER PROCEDURE DONE ON NOVEMBER 8TH. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS NOW AND I SEE NO DIFFERENCE. I STILL LOOK THE SAME AS WHEN I WENT IN, NO LIGHTENING OF FINE LINES, NO TIGHTENING. MY COLOR TONE WASN'T REALLY AN ISSUE. THE DOC SAID TO BE PATIENT, IT WILL LOOK BETTER WEEK BY WEEK. ITS HARD TO BE PATIENT, AND I FEEL AS THOUGH I GOT RIPPED OFF. HOPEFULLY TIME WILL PROVE THAT THOUGHT WRONG.

AN UPDATE... HAD ACTIVE FX 6 MONTHS AGO WITH THE TOUCH UP DONE IN FEBRUARY. I REALLY LIKE THE RESULTS. MY PORE SIZE IS SMALLER , TEXTURE BETTER. SKIN TIGHTER. AT THIS POINT COLLAGEN IS STILL REBUILDING FOR A COUPLE OF MORE MONTHS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TREATMENT. JUST BE PREPARED TO HAVE PATIENCE.

I'm considering having the Active FX laser in 3 weeks but after reading some of the reviews, I'm starting to chicken out. It appears to be painful, more than a few days healing time and in some cases the patients are red for weeks. Is it worth the pain and discomfort of the healing process? SA from MI

With any aesthetic treatment, optimal results are associated with a certain degree of downtime. To rejuvenate photo-aged skin and achieve desired results, both the upper, middle, and deeper layers must be effectively treated to achieve an effective result. In so doing, various degrees of inflammatory response will be noted within these tissue layers which will be reflected in potential for sloughing of the upper skin and redness of the deeper layers. Depending upon the degree of improvement that you desire and the amount of treatments you are willing to undergo, settings of the ACTIVE FX can be adjusted to meet your individual needs.
