my breast at exactly 26 days post op

i scratched as i slept. scratched so hard i tore some skin. my breasts are so itchy. i stopped using steristrips because i noticed the strips werent letting the scratches dru and heal- instead they kept them moist and would peel off whatever scab was already forming. but its so itchy! i just put lots of alcohol n bacitracin and gauze it up

my breasts at 14 days post op

surgery date was may 8. this was taken on may 22. fresh set of steri strips

my 2yr old

So. as this day draws near, something popped into my head that makes me want to reschedule. Im pretty sure alot of you have seen kids who love to massage their parents ear as they fall asleep. Is as if it soothes them. Well, my daughter loves that whole skin to skin cuddling. When shes restless in bed and wont go to sleep (she sti sleeps with us) she will lift up my shirt and put her side of the face on my bare belly and she falls asleep fast. On times that she is crying or ucomfortable (which is often) she loves to rest her head on my bare breast, she specificly loves to put her ear directly over my nipple-it may sound weird to those who never breastfed, but i know its her soothing go-to place. I breastfed her for a year and a half. Thid is her sleep ritual. And i just recently realized once i have this procedure done, she wont have my breasts to comfort her and that kills me. I feel horrible-selfish, even. I feel like postponing my surgery till after she outgrows this stage shes at. I mean, I can always have breast augmentation but i wont always have my kid be a baby and lay asleep on my belly as she does now... Id like to know how lont it will be before i can stand the weight of her head on my chest...Anyone out there can answer this? How long will it be till you can stand having your baby/kid rest their head on your chest???

So far, everyone has been great. Ive only spoken with Dr. Rankin's patient coordinator, Beatriz, and she is amazing. She is very caring and very attentive. She's available to patients even after hours because Ive texted her very well past 9pm and she's always answered very quickly. I loved that. She's very involved and very detailed in her answers. She really accommodated me as I was only able to fly on a specific date and she made sure I got that date. She's a great asset to the office, in my opinion. I'll update more when I meet Dr. Rankin and the rest of his staff.
