When I found out that I had breast cancer, even though my oncologist said that I didn't have to hurry my decision about finding a plastic surgeon to do my reconstruction, I wanted to decide and get it scheduled with both surgeons as soon as possible. I did what my husband and I thought was right. I met with the surgeon that the breast cancer navigator recommended. I felt a little uncomfortable with him, but the navigator assured me that he was very good and actually did over 90% of the reconstructions for them. So I went with him. Months after my spacers were replaced with the implants, I found out that he had put the wrong type of implants in me! My physical therapist who works with breast cancer patients told me that she had heard that Dr. Bharti was good. My husband and I interviewed Dr. Bharti and I cancelled 2 other opinions. We felt very comfortable with him. He really listened to all of the issues that I wanted corrected along with getting the correct implants. He kept telling me my results would be subtle, but my results were so much more! My breasts looked completely different. And when I went back for my post op, Dr. Bharti was visibly pleased at my results which made me walk out of his office with a confidence I had not had for such a long time! If I had known about Dr. Bharti and chosen him first, I believe I would not have had to have another surgery!
