Dr. Hardy is a Plastic Surgeon and General Surgeon. I needed both because I wanted my implants removed, hernia surgery, a tummy tuck and liposuction. All Plastic Surgeons are not Board Certified General Surgeons with experience in fixing hernias. (The price in this review is only for the tummy tuck)
I had an emergency surgery on a bowel obstruction in 2012, which left a major scar from my navel down to the pelvic area. I also had a hernia which developed because of that surgery. I did not have an opportunity to choose this surgeon because of the emergency situation. I later looked up his ratings and read reviews and his rating was a two star rating and bad reviews. Researching doctors on the internet is very helpful in making a choice.
I had gone to another Plastic Surgeon before my first visit with Dr. Hardy and was not comfortable with that doctor, so I researched on the internet for a highly rated doctor, and on every site I checked out, Dr. Hardy came up as one of the best.
My first visit proved to me that the ratings were not wrong. He took two hours with me and explained in detail, what he would do to correct my issues. He impressed me as kind, gentle, caring for his patients, very detailed and very knowledgeable and made me feel completely comfortable with him performing the surgeries. I asked a ton of questions and he never made me feel that they were not important ones.
The surgery took longer than expected because my hernia was not just one, but was a stranded mess across my stomach. My insides were literally coming out in one area. After the hernia repair, he did a tummy tuck which pulled my skin down far enough to get rid of the long scar, amazing to me! he did a lot of liposuction and removed my implants which I had since 1988 and reduced the size of my breasts. All the results were amazing to me. It has been 3 months since the surgeries, and my recovery was not that painful or difficult at all. Now that the swelling is down and I have been working on keeping my weight down and not ruining my flat stomach, I have lost 16 pounds. I went from a size 14 to 10 and wearing mediums on top and some smalls. I could not be happier with my results. Dr. Hardy is a miracle worker! I am very grateful that I found him and plan more cosmetic surgeries in the future as needed and affordable. I highly recommend Dr. Hardy, you will not be disappointed if you choose him.
