This is my second fraxel repair for treating premature aging under my eyes.

The first time through I experienced the normal swelling and redness which slowly faded over the period of 2 weeks or so. I was happy with the first treatment and decided to do a second treatment to improve the area further.

I am now on day 7 of my second treatment and am very worried. I have redness under my eye, which I'm not worried about. What I'm worried about is pronounced yellowing at the fraxel/unfraxelated skin border under one of my eyes and a 1/2cm or so brown spot that seems to be kind of pitted and right in the middle of one of the yellow spots. It almost looks like I have a black eye.

I don't know what to do about this. I see my dermatologist tomorrow, so I should wait to see what he says.

I went to the derm today. First the nurse took a look at me and said it was just bruising and that I was actually doing quite well. The pitted brown spot was an injection site for the numbing medication, where the needle hit a blood vessel. The dermatologist then took a look at me and said it was bruising He said it would resolve fairly quickly, but didn't say how many days. Basically it looks like I got all freaked out about nothing, if they are right. I think it is very slowly starting to fade. The only advise I can give is to be very patient after Repair.

Oh yeah, he offered to make the discoloration disappear with another laser right there. I said no, I'm done with lasers. He was glad I came in too, better for a patient to come in, in case there is a problem.

Welcome to the community. Did you see your dermatologist, how did it go what did they say? I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Please keep us updated.
