Lipo of Abs and Flanks. Went ok, healing time more...

Lipo of Abs and Flanks. Went ok, healing time more than expected. Still swollen after first month, all bruising is gone. Scaring is visible. Extremely unhappy with a bulge that doesn't appear to be going away.

Are noticeable contour irregularities that need to be addressed usually covered by the doctor that performed the original procedure? I don't feel I should have to pay any more money to fix a bulge on my stomach (one side and not the other) that is very obvious an area that wasn't suctioned properly.

Great review?

Im 5 weeks post op now. Had love handles, stomach and under the buttocks done. I just came back from the doc and seems they gave me the wrong size garmet. So my stomach looks terible. I also have a huge bulge on my right lower ab. It looks horrible. What my doc did was give me an xsmall garmet now and I have to wear it religiously for 8 weeks. then go back to him and if the sking and lumps are still there, then he'll correct the defect. What a nightmare. !!! I called them the 2nd week because i noticed my stomach just changed overnight into some horrible site and my bum, one cheek is higher than the other one.

Ditto. Sorry to hear of your experience. My liposuction (under bra flab and waistline) experience was a nightmare. A second surgery had to be performed to "correct" the damage done by the first. I have long term scars and bumps that will never go away. I believe it was largely due to an ill fitted, incorrect compression garment. Extremely disappointing. Wish I had never done it and definitely would advise anyone to steer clear of this doctor: Dr. Theodore Fifer, Effingham , Illinois.

Talk with your doc, should be part of your initial procedure cost. The docs seem to keep this part a mystery, but if I were the one performing the surgery, I would want you to be happy. You the patient is your doctors best marketing tool. If you are happy and look great, all your friends will ask about your procedure. You doc does not want a bad wrap. Good Luck

The doctor usually perform the operation for free to correct the defect but sometimes you have to pay for anesthetic and room. But latk with you doctor and be firm about you diconfort,
