I went in to have an age spot removed. The aesthetician told me that I was going to have an uneven skin tone if i chose to have only the spot removed and that he would perform a photofacial. It was a little uncomfortable, but not painful. However the emotional pain it has caused me is horrific. The next morning after the procedure, I woke up and the skin under my eyes was completely dry. It was like I had aged 10 years or more and the left side of my face above my lip seemed to droop creating a line. I went to two dermatologists who treated me for the dry skin. It has been almost 10 months and I cannot get back what I lost. The lines are still there and my skin looks so much older.
Fight the good fight with creams but not ipl treatments or laser treatments. You never know how your skin is going to react and the lasting effects are not known. I regret the whole process. Love yourself as you are.
