I had this treatment done because of sun damage. I had areas on my face that were brown and red from the sun damage.

I had been using Solaraze gel. which was working. My face looked good after only 17 days of the gel. My doctor felt I should also do the IPL. I did not realize I would have such swolling, redness, and down time.

Had IPL two days ago on my face. Left side, I have a red area and the size of a dime it is very red and looks like it could scab. The left side is swollen. I have been putting ice every hour for 15 min. Is this normal and could the dark area scar?
