I had a total of 5 IPL photofacials 3 with one lady and at the first place I went and 1 with another lady there. I didn't get any results with the first 3 treatments but with the last one I finally saw some results. It all depends on the esthetician that you use. The last one at the first place was great and did her job well. I have never seen any adverse effects from it. The second place I went to did not do as good a job.. I told the woman that high settings were required to see results with my skin type but she didn't listen and I have seen very minimal results. I do plan to try again for a few of my spots since when it is done right the color will lift.

The esthetician you get is different every time and they don't always listen to you or do the procedure as well as the others.

thanks for sharing. A friend had a similar experience...too low of a setting left her with no visible result. However, when they cranked it up, she described the IPL session as being brutally painful.
