More Information

I uploaded another picture below so you can see the difference in the spacing when I'm wearing my tray vs when I'm not. You can hardly see the space in the front. I will admit my smiles are with more confidence now. Before I'd do a fake, half of a smile. I love my smile now. It's beautiful. It will be even more so once I'm completely done.

Tray 10

I started my 10th tray today. Everything is going well. The space between my 2 front teeth is getting smaller. I'm noticing my teeth are becoming straighter as well. I'm almost half way through the process. My Orthodontist has me set for 22 trays. It's been 4 months of wearing the trays. He says I will need to wear the trays anywhere from 1 year to a year in a half. Needless to say, I may need more trays.
I've gotten pretty use to wearing these things. No problem popping them in and out. The only downfall is I don't like to use public bathrooms when I'm out for brushing and flossing. I will floss after eating when out but I will not brush. I work from home so I'm not out very much besides in the weekend. If my husband and are out for dinner and we're going straight home right afterwards, I leave them out. If we're going other places, I put my trays back on without brushing until I get home. That's happened at least twice in 4 months. My check ups with my dentist and orthodontist have been great. I don't like seeing orthodontist every other month though. To me, that's a little excessive but he says it's necessary to monitor progress and to catch any problems that could arise. I have to remind myself on occasion how much I'm paying for the trays when I don't want to put them back in to my mouth. The plastic really keeps your mouth dry. I drink plenty of water and that helps. Do I still feel it's worth it? Yes I do. Can't wait to send the end results.
