5 days post op

Just an update. ..had surgery Thursday and now it's Tuesday. I'm off all pain killers except Tylenol and I'm still taking my muscle relaxant. The pain really throughout this whole thing has been pretty bearable. I can't wait to get this drain out though! Either tomorrow or the next day probably for that. It's really only draining about 30 ml a day now.
If anyone is considering having a mommy makeover done, i would seriously recommend that you be close to your goal weight and that you be in pretty good shape before the surgery. There are a lot of things that you do on a day to day basis that are nearly impossible during recovery of you're not in decent physical condition. Getting in and out of bed, getting to the toilet (like literally down to the toilet-thank you squats), or reaching for things.

First day update!

All done and just home resting! It isn't nearly as bad as what I was prepared for. Surgery got going at 8 30 and we were being sent out the door to head home about 245. The surgery itself took about 3 1/2 hours. I'll try to break this down into surgery details and then recovery details in case anyone is interested.

Surgery first: after initial IV, anesthesiologist consult, etc. Dr. Freeman came in and made his marks for the breast lift. Then a little Versed in the IV and I was wheeled to the OR. I don't even remember getting to the OR. I woke up with only one drain, not sure why but I'll ask at my follow up tomorrow. Dr Freeman said i had a lot of scarring around my old belly button where i had it pierced years ago. Implants were switched from Mentor saline smooth round mod+ 500cc overfilled to 550cc, switched to silicone (gummy bear) 505cc HP round textured implants.

Woke up with a binder on that doesn't really seem to fit. It goes from just under my boobs to the tops of my thighs, snug (not tight) around my lower abdomen and loose around upper abs.

I can stand fairly straight but was told to hunch as much as possible to take strain off the incision and help reduce pain in the next day or so. Upper abs hurt. If you've ever used one of the ab roller things, imagine that pain but more. Lower abs hurt a bit. Incisions and boobs don't hurt. Flanks hurt very mildly from the lipo. I've taken one pill twice, four hours apart, and one muscle relaxer. I've been watching tv and have gotten up to use the bathroom and get something to eat and refill my drink cup a few times.

I'll get a peek finally at my follow up visit tomorrow, but from what I can tell I'm going to love my boobs! Yay so far!

Eight years ago I underwent breast augmentation with smooth, round, saline 500cc implants overfilled to 550cc placed under the muscle. Loved them for all this time, but now that I'm a little older, I've decided it's time for a breast lift, and I might as well replace my implants at the same time and finish off the party with a tummy tuck too.

My kids were born 23 and 21 years ago, both by c section. I'm pretty small at 5 feet flat, and at the time my kids were born I weighed 110 pounds and gained 60 pounds with each one. Definitely have a pooch left. I'm currently at 126 pounds.

I had my pre-op appt today. My doctor, husband, and I decided on high profile (instead of the mod + I currently have) in a textured gummy bear implant with a lollipop lift and areola reduction, as well as a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo to the love handles.

Surgery is scheduled for august 6 at 8:30. Wish me luck!
