Worth It
Spent: $4,000 in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
My husband finally had Lasik done in Scottsdale AZ by a top doctor for a total cost of $4000. We chose to pay more and picked the best of the best doctors and did a lot of research. You cannot be cheap with your eyes!! Now what they don't tell you about the surgery is, for some it can be extremely PAINFUL. Not right after the surgery itself, but the week or two following. My husband is a tough guy and he was in tears miserable and going out of his mind for a few days. Turns out even the good doctor's staff forgot to give him some numbing drops which would have helped a great deal. The physical feeling my husband described is like having sand in your eyes, and stinging pain for a while. I can't say enough about the follow up treatments - these doctors were on call immediately to get him in for an appointment, they chatted on the phone with him and all of the follow ups (unlimited number of them until patient was well) were included in our price. So just know that there is pain sometimes, but my husband is SO happy with the results. He was nearly blind and had to wear contacts 24/7. Now he can just wake up and enjoy life. The best part was throwing his contacts into the trash. The high price tag was nothing compared to being able to see again!

I live in Phoenix and am considering this procedure. Who was your husband's surgeon?
