Restalyne for Frown Lines Correction - Houston, TX

I had restalyne for frown lines correction. i had...

i had restalyne for frown lines correction. i had botox several months back but the wrinkles were too long standing to flatten the frown area. my doc told me we can use a filler and then i can get botox in a few weeks if i like the correction. the botox will make the filler last a lot longer she said. she used the restylane with lidocaine, so it wasn't painful at all though i could feel an occasional needle prick.

i've had these frown line wrinkles for 15 years-since around 35, and they have always made me look older and 'stressed' and angry so i was very pleased to see them go away after the injections.

the treatment was a week ago. when i touch the area, i can feel the threads where the product was laid in. it's not as 'natural' feeling as i'd like, but the visual effect is fine. i thought it would be a more uniform plumping, but apparently the idea is to lay in the globs and that will elevate the skin. so, i am debating if i want to do the nasolabial lines too, because the tissue there is relly soft.

a lot of docs caution about sing dermal fillers between the eyes. it takes a very skilled person. too much material, or if a blood vessel's circulation gets messed up, can lead to some nasty tissue necrosis.

i'm very happy i did this. it's something i debated doing for 2 years, and once i had it done it was like, wow, this is a real improvement. as is said, little improvements-especially about the face-can make a really big difference in how you look.

Great review?

Congrats on getting your filler done! I'm so glad to hear it turned out well. It is interesting that you can basically feel right were the product is. I'll be curious to hear if that smooths out, or just stays that way the entire time the Restylane is in there.

Are you planning to do Botox again then?
