Hello! I finally worked up the guts to post this,...
Hello! I finally worked up the guts to post this, I will apologize for the length in advance. So after weight loss surgery (lost ~100 lbs), and breastfeeding two kids, (I’m 5’3”/125 lbs), I decided that 2014 was the year to get my boobies back. I’d had a rather interesting visit with a PS recommended by my weight loss surgeon. While chatting about my appointment with a co-worker, she mentioned Dr. Moliver. She had also lost a lot of weight and had excess skin removed, and was raving about him, so I gave the office a call and got me an appointment during Spring Break. When I got to my appointment, I was quickly taken into a room, and Dr. Moliver and his nurse came in. I really liked that he explained the procedure, the risks, and his personal surgical statistics. Then, unlike the previous PS consult I had, he actually examined me. He took his little tape measure thing, and took a few measurements. I told him about trying on the 339cc and told him I’d like to go a tad bigger. He recommended a periareolar lift with a cohesive gel implant, and a nipple reduction, (they were elongated after breastfeeding.) He left me to try on implants with his nurse, and she recommended a 400cc implant. I absolutely loved them! I was given my quote, a few possible surgical dates, and I let them know I would call them back. I was absolutely convinced that I wanted Dr. Moliver to perform the procedure. He was knowledgeable and best of all had a great bedside manner. After a few weeks, set up my surgery, May 8th.
DAY OF SURGERY – I had a 7:30 am appointment, with a 7:00am arrival time. As soon as I arrive, my husband and I were quickly ushered into the pre-op area, where Dr. Moliver came by, did his final measurements and markings, and on to the OR I went. There I was met by the CRNA, who is fabulous! She explained everything to me, helped me onto the table, quickly started an IV line, and out I was. I woke up feeling sore, and I swear, my throat hurt more from the anesthesia than the surgery. I was given sprite and crackers, and the nurse helped me get dressed. I wore a front close sports bra for compression, since I had the nipple reduction, and nipples are quite bloody. After I fully woke up, I was given my pain killer and muscle relaxer. She told me to make sure and stay ahead of the game, and take the meds on a scheduled basis for the first couple days. On our way home, hubby informed me Dr. Moliver went with a 450cc implant, so it could look like the 400cc sizer I liked in the office. I slept all day, taking the meds like she said. My left nipple bled through the gauze, so we just added more.
POST-OP Day 1 – After reading some of the reviews here, I was expecting to be in excruciating pain, but I slept through the night without waking up to take my pain med, and woke up feeling fine. I took a bottom half shower, and my mom drove me to my post-op appointment. My left nipple bled quite a bit when the nurse took off the gauze. Some of the old blood had crusted up, so she used peroxide to detach the gauze, which is when I realized I had nipple sensation. She replaced the gauze and bandages, and recommended I come back 5 days later so Dr. Moliver can monitor the progress of nipples. It was Friday so, she instructed me to remove the bandages on Sunday, and to go ahead and take a shower. I slept the rest of that day as well.
POST-OP Day 3 – I woke up and because I was eager to take a shower, I took off the bandages. This was the first real look I had of the girls, and let me tell you…they were awesome. Dr. Moliver is a true artist. I had no bruising, and my scars looked amazing, definitely not like 3 day old scars. Shower felt great. Pain was more like soreness. At this point, I’ve been taking Tylenol, and my muscle relaxer
POST-OP Day 4 – Back to work. I felt really well. Only complaint is that I couldn’t write on the board (I’m a high school teacher.)
POST-OP Visit 2 – I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Moliver. My nipples haven’t bled since my last post-op visit. He explained that the nipple will begin to close up within 7-10 days. He told me to not wear a sports bra anymore and I should wear something that just holds up the gauze to my nipples. He said everything looked great and he’d see me in a couple weeks.
POST-OP Visit 3 – My left nipple has completely healed. My right on the other hand, is slowly coming along. He thinks it has a few more days to go. He said that I’m officially cleared to do anything, ie lift, workout, swim. He still doesn’t want me in a bra, and if I have to wear one, he doesn’t want it to lift. Overall, I’m super happy and pleased.

Provider Review
Overall, I’m super happy and pleased. Coming to his office is great. I sign in and I’m immediately escorted back to a room, never having to wait. All his staff is wonderful, really nice, and extremely helpful. Dr. Moliver is has a great bedside manner, and is willing to answer all your questions (if he leaves any to be asked since he explains everything so well.)
