Dr Schusterman is an extremely knowledgable and talented plastic surgeon, but as other reviews state, he is a bit distant and it does seem like he's rushing all the time. Between my consultation, actual surgery and post op appointment, I would say I've talked to him a max of 10 minutes. I think he feels that he did everything perfectly so you shouldn't have any legitimate concerns. He does leave most of the explanation and questions to his MAs and NP, Melanie. I have mostly seen his staff during my post op appointments. He did pop in for about 2 minutes once and half way explained a possible revision then let the MA finish and he walked out. They're very slow to return emails, if at all. It's very difficult to get appointments late in the day so be prepared to miss work or be late. 3 of my appointments were cancelled/rescheduled without much explanation. Make sure to do your research regarding sizing and profile as I wasn't informed of all the options at the office. They lean more towards cohesive silicone. He's extremely qualified and wonderful at what he does, but if you're looking for a PS with more of a bedside manner and who takes the time to chit chat and answer small questions, he's not the one for you. I'm pleased with my results because I didnt have any complications, but I can't say that I had any connection with him. If I could do it over, I would choose him as a doctor but would make some changes as far as size and profile instead of trusting his suggestion. Push for what you want since ultimately you're doin this for yourself and you're the one that has to live with it.

Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf. Did you end up getting a cohesive gel implant? How many cc's? Are you happy with your final results?

Sorry for the late response. I did get cohesive silicone. 500cc under the muscle to be exact. I am pleased with the results with the exception of profile. I think my Dr pushes mod+ by saying that it gives a more natural look but as I know now, having high profile implants doesn't mean that you'll end up with porn star looking breasts. If I could do it over, I would get high profile instead of mod+ because that gives you more upper pole. I like the push up look.

It's great to hear from you whenever you have time! That's great advice you give about high versus moderate implant profile. We'd love to see any pictures you're comfortable sharing!

what is your build and what's the size and profile you got? I know how you feel as eventho I am very pleased with my result since I trusted in the excellent skill and rich experience my dr has but I do have to say he is not the warmest and not the most clear with explaining things. But he made my result very close to my wish pic and I love it :)

I got 500cc mod + under the muscle. I'm about 5' 8" so they do match my frame. I'm pleased with the results although I still wear push up bras most times because I lack the upper pole. Naked they look great. They're symmetrical, dropped evenly and feel like my real breasts. I have great cleavage which is something I feared pre op. I saw many pictures of girls with a big gap and definitely didn't want that. I'm glad that you're pleased with your results as well
