I'm a 44 year old mom of two wonderful kiddos and been married going on 26 years. I had a tumor on my pituitary gland in 2001 which makes you gain weight and my weight got up to 300lbs. After having the tumor removed and alot of hard work and exercise I wasnt happy with the results. By 2004 I had lost weight but to me it wasnt enough so I had weight loss surgery. I then lost another 50lbs but in 2006 the weight started coming back even though I was exercising everyday. I went back to the neurologists and to my surprise the tumor had come back. I had the tumor removed again that year and knock on wood it hasnt reappeared its ugly face again. Total I've lost 135lbs and have lived with this loose saggy skin for 8 years now and its time to do something about it. I've researched the lower body lift for about a year now and I found a GREAT dr in Houston, Dr. Paul Vitenas who will be doing my surgery on May 29th. My emotions are all over the place from nervous, excited and scared. I see some before and after pictures on here and some dont even look like the same person. I'm 44 and dont want to be a super model I just want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and be happy at what I see. I want to walk in front of my hubby with the lights on and not be embarrassed. Those who have this problem know exactly what I'm talking about. He has been totally supportive of me wanting to do this and tells me hes happy the way I am but the problem is I"M NOT. The staff at Dr. V's office is great. Lindsay answered all the questions I had on the phone when scheduling the consultation. At the consult I had a whole list of questions but didnt get to ask one because Dr. V and Lindsay answered every one of them before I had a chance to ask. My surgery is scheduled for May 29th for a lower body lift and a breast lift/reduction & small implant...I know that sounds funny but my rt breast is larger than my left (which I didnt even know) so hes going to reduce that one, lift both of them with small implants. I'm a D cup now so will just be a true full D cup after surgery. Having these procedures done together is a little pricey but well worth it. I told my hubby to think of it as he just bought me a new car...that way sounds alot better :) 15 days and counting.....
