6 week update

6 weeks has gone by pretty fast! I went back to the gym on Monday... I wore my CG and took it easier than usual. I was sore (in a good way) on Tuesday morning so I know ive got a lot of work to do to get back to where I was 6 weeks ago in gym. I still feel swollen.... still wondering if it is swelling or just the new me. Still worried about the excess skin on upper abdomen but I will give it a couple more months and then see how I feel. Overall not a whole lot of changes since last post. It has been crazy around here getting ready for holidays and Christmas programs and parties.... ready to rest a little. ;) i go back to dr on jan 4th for next follow up. Merry Christmas to everyone!

excess skin on upper abdomen?

Has anyone else experienced this after a tummy tuck? I asked the nurse over the phone and she said excess skin on upper abdomen requires a verical scar?

3 weeks!!

Made it to 3 weeks! Woot woot! I went to PS on Monday for a follow up appt. Things are looking pretty good. He said I could switch to a regular bra or sports bra as long as it is supportive (up and in) without squishing them or mashing them. Tall order. He said to continue to wear the CG until 1 month and then I can switch to spanx and see how swelling goes. The drain tube area is still trying to heal which is slower than usual.... but it looks better than it did. My breasts are actually sorer than anything right now... which is strange because initially they didnt hurt at all. I still have hard lumps on underside of breasts.. he said to massage them and they would go away. They did an ultrasound to check for fluid and found some in right breast... so he used a needle and got some out. That area seems really sore today. I have been kind of working up the glue off of incisions on tummy.... last night I tried working on breasts and then it looked like it was coming open a little. I was majorly regretting messing with it at all. I took a pic and sent it to nurse... she said it is very common and to just keep it clean and dry and cut some xeroform to put on it. I wont be picking at the glue anymore. I did a lot yesterday and felt really swollen at bedtime. I dont actually look much smaller (as far as inches go) but I do like the flatness of it. There is a little bruising left around breasts but most of it is gone. However, lipo areas are still tender /numb feeling. PS said to continue to massage my neck/chin area and that I dont have to wear that CG anymore unless it starts swelling or getting loose. Yay for that! I feel like I am doing most everything I used to... except my workouts which i cant wait to get back to. PS said 6-8 weeks for that. So I guess thats about all for now.... hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am 5 days post op now. I have been very pleased with Dr. LoMonaco and his staff thus far. I love the time and attention they provide to you at each appointment. Destiny and Chela have called me each day to check on me. Chela even brought something by to the hotel one day for me. My results so far are as expected - I will post more as time progresses.
