This was my first and possibly last foray into cosmetic procedures. Had 3 syringes of Restylane injected for dark circles under the eyes, but the improvement was minimal. Plastic surgeon tried to suggest I have skin hyperpigmentation, but the circles clearly result from visible blood supply and/or arcus marginalis. If anything, the filler elevated the tissue & made the circles more obvious.
After 2 months, I also have persistent swelling in one cheek & superficial lumps of filler which have to be squashed down daily. Would any of you out there with dark circles care to weigh in on whether fillers really addressed your problem? My PS is now suggesting a lower bleph, which scares me.

Your name made me laugh. :) Other community members have mentioned bruising and lumps from Restylane and have had to have it removed. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, but you are in the right place for support and info. Please keep us updated as to your next step.
