I already had a negative body image before breast cancer. The mastectomy only added to that.

Looking at other surgeons web sites, I was very hesitant to even enter the office. My daughter was with me, and we were both so impressed with the office staff, and then the surgeon, there was no question. So this was my choice for the breast reconstruction surgery.

The whole reconstruction was a very good experience from the first office visit. I was so supported and made to feel good about a bad situation.

I am doing very well. January will be my five year mark. Amazing how time flies. This was a "landmark" that I thought would never come.
