Awful. The doctor graduated from a good school and had lots of impressive credentials that I let myself be wowed by. Unfortunately plastic surgery is not a well developed credential of his. I am extremely unhappy with the results. He inserted the cannulla into untreated areas, casuing me a great deal of pain on the operating table. I believe that he damaged my muscle tissue as well due to the swelling and burning pain I am feeling. I will be seeing another physician to have this evaluated.

The nurse was wearing plain clothes and lots of jewelry in the "operating" room. Very unprofessional both in demeanour, appearance, and attitude. I took two codeine and two valium, as directed one hour in advance of the procedure. I have a memory of the doctor flashing the signed agreement in front of me and showing me a change he had made to it directly prior to the procedure. Would have been nice had he seen fit to do so when I was not drugged up.

Overall I have experienced a great deal of pain and discomfort as a result of this procedure. I paid a great deal and after all that I underwent I am extremely unhappy particularly in light of the fact that I seem to be developing long-term complications as a result of his treatment.

I had Smart Lipo on my abdomen 3.5 weeks ago. The (3X board certified, but not in plastic surgery) doctor told me it would be easy--no sweat; but that was not true. He did not return my calls over the weekend and I became grossly swollen. There are several very noticeable uneven areas and now a lump that I think is a hernia has developed over my belly button. Also he missed some spots. It was a very expensive procedure and fixing it will be costly as well. Do I have options?

Great review?

I had smartlipo done 6 months ago with bad results. I have an abdomen that is now hard and lumpy. After numerouse ultrasounds and message I went to get a second opinion from another doc. He said I could try 12 treatments of Velashape at $100 a session. He can't guarantee me it will smooth out these hard lumps from my smartlipo, but said it might help? Anybody use Velashape for this reason? I hate to throw any more money away. I am too very unhappy with my smartlipo 6 months later. Nothing but dents and bumps..

I am always amazed at patients who go to just any doctor for procedures that a plastic surgeon should be doing. Many docs take a 2 day course and buy a Smart Lipo and off they go. They have NO experience in cosmetic procedures, no sense of artistry needed and believe it when the sales person says - hey, it does hurt at all. Patients beware do your homework - go to a board certified plastic surgeon.
