31 Year Old with 80 Year Old Breast - Honolulu, HI

I wanted to share my experience with my breast reduction performed by Dr. Schlensiger, I am a 31 year-old mother of two. My bra size was a 34J, my weight is 175 and I am 5’9.
Since the birth of my first child I wanted to have a breast reduction. After birth my breasts were a 34H cup and with my second child they were a 34M.
After having my second child my breasts really changed besides just the size, they started to hang much lower and my nipples were almost as low as my belly button.
As a result of my large breasts, I couldn’t wear cute bras, halter tops, tube tops, and even wearing a bathing suit was impossible. I was tired of looking in the mirror and seeing the boobs of an 80 year old woman, I was over it!
I started looking for top plastic surgeons in Hawaii, after about a week of researching doctors I found Dr. S. on Real-self. He had tons of reviews, 5-star ratings and he was highly recommended among reviewers. Dr. S.’ credentials include: board certified plastic surgeon with more than 30 years of plastic surgery experience in Hawaii. He is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American college of surgeons and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
After doing my research on Dr. S., I decided to schedule a consultation. On the day of my consultation I waited in the lobby of his office for about 30 minutes and the consultation with Dr. S. lasted about an hour Dr. S. was so nice and professional. He explained exactly how he would perform the breast reduction, what he could and couldn’t do as far as the incisions to the chest, possible complications from reduction surgery, healing times, surgery time and how he would go in and fix the areola by doing some touch up tattooing to make the areola symmetrically round. He was even nice enough to talk with me about a tummy tuck once I asked him about it. He explained that his tummy tucks are amazing and that he also follows up with liposuction to the abdominal area to give the ultimate silhouette. During the consultation I never felt rushed like consultations with other plastic surgeons. Dr. S. took his time and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He even asked questions to get to know me on a more personable level. He made me feel comfortable and also told me that he would love to have me as a client. He also guaranteed his work. If his work didn’t come out perfect he would fix the problem on his own dime.(What other plastic surgeons do that?) I was truly impressed during my consultation. I was literally blown away. I had him give me a quote and he also offered a $1,500 discount for my husband being military (everyone loves a discount!)
So, I took all the paperwork home and talked with my husband about my experience with Dr. S. and he was happy as long as I was happy. I called the Breast Implant Center a day later to make a payment and schedule my operation. I scheduled my surgery a month out. Three weeks before surgery I had an pre op appointment in so he could recap on everything he was going to do, what to expect, and to go over all the pre-op instructions.
The day of surgery I was really nervous but, Dr. S. and his staff put my mind at ease. Once my IV was set I talked with the anesthesiologist for about 10mins then Dr S. came in to mark my breast and take me over to the operating room.
My surgery lasted 7 hours and 15 minutes. I spent the night at the facility for observation just because it was such a long operation and it made Dr. S more comfortable to have me close to a medical facility. During recovery, I had one nurse taking care of me that night and two nursing the next morning. My pain was limited to about 3 or 4 on a pain scale of 10. I was more drowsy than anything. The next day Dr. S came in to give me all the information about how the surgery went, post op care instructions to me and my husband, and he let me view my breast. OMG! The first time I saw them I wanted to cry tears of joy! I was so happy to see them not hanging down and just looking nice and normal. They truly looked amazing! I was not expecting them to look that good! I was floored, Dr. S. told me that my surgery really wasn’t easy but he knew he was the right doctor for a job of my caliber. At that moment, I knew Dr. S. was the man! To pull off the surgery with such expertise was not easy and my breasts looked amazing. All the nurses were talking about how good they looked and how he gave me excellent cleavage. He gave me a 650cc high profile implant on the right side and a 600cc high profile implant on the left side. I am more than happy with Dr. S. and his staff. He doesn’t just make you feel like a patient, he makes you feel like you are a part of his family. You can truly tell that he genuinely loves each and every client. I plan on going back to him next year for his popular tummy tuck and ultimate silhouette. I would recommend Dr. S to anyone looking at having any type of plastic surgery. He has truly changed my life!
I am now 4 weeks post-op and I am in love with my breasts. Everyone in his medical office is talking about how great my breasts look. I honestly don’t look like the same woman. I look slimmer; my breasts are healing up perfectly. I can’t wait to see the final results in a couple of months!
