3 weeks later!

I definitely feel like my love handles have gotten smaller. I have had no pain, no tingling, no side effects that people have complained about. Maybe because I didn't do my stomach area and stuck to my love handles! I have some remaining numbness on the suction sites, but it is slowly returning. I'm happy so far! And yes, I know I need to upload pictures. Ill do one next week after my 4 week mark has passed! :)

1 WEEK UPDATE!

Today is exactly 1 week from the date of my procedure. I feel great. I did have some bruising and swelling that is finally gone. The area treated still has some remaining numbness. Once in awhile I get an annoying deep poke feeling- almost like something is poking me into my my side. I am assuming this could be from the nerves regaining feeling again and sending a slight tinge once and a while. But no discomfort -No Pain. I have not gained weight, I have not lost weight and results so far are very slight . I'm excited for the coming weeks though. Will keep updating as time goes on! :)

After many many months of research I finally...

After many many months of research I finally decided that I owe it to myself to try this procedure. I have hated my hips/ love handles for years! After losing 30+ lbs, my "love" handles are still there! I heard about Cool Sculpting years ago and my friend and I were going to go try it, but never did. Yesterday. I went to my consult and they actually had time to do it that day. So within 30 mins of the consult, and talks of pricing, I was getting hooked up to the machine! Nervous and worried but no time to back out. It was all or nothing!

Here is my Experience thus far...

The nurse examined my areas of concern and decided if I was a candidate for this procedure. She pinched my fatty areas to see if the machine would even be able to suction well enough and we decided that the regular application would suffice. (Instead of two small applications on each love handle)

She completely reviewed the whole procedure with me, went over the machines and the technology behind the Cool Sculpting method.( And they have two machines, so they can do both sides at once!)

We went over pricing which usually costs about $750 per cycle. (A cycle is considered a 1 hour application depending on pad sizing. I used the regular application pad, one on each hip.)

We talked about my availability for maybe 3 minutes when the 2 RNs came out and said, how about we do it now! Nervously, I said okay and off to prepping I went.

Ahh this is it! All the before photos were taken at all angles. They marked out the areas were the pads would go and applied the cold gel pads to my skin. Then the applicators were applied and started suctioning me in. I was placed in a sitting position, propped up with pillows for my comfort. I was given a blanket as my 60 mins began counting down!

Now, I must admit I was worried about the pain or discomfort of the suctioning and coolness as many others have complained about it being more painful than they expected. I have to say that this was not at all uncomfortable. The suction felt weird, but no pain. The coolness was numbing so I didn't feel like anything the entire 60 minutes. Except for my butt going numb. Haha.

60 minutes were up and they began massaging my hips where the 'frozen stick of butter' had appeared. This caused more discomfort than anything thus far. But after 10-15 seconds into the massage, it was fine. they massaged for 2 minutes and i was done.

I got dressed, made my follow up appointment and off I went. I cooked dinner, relaxed on the couch, and slept throughout the night normally. Today, as I am writing this the day after I had the procedure, the areas treated are a bit tender to the touch when pressing firmly. No other pains yet and I might be getting a slight bruising in the area, which is expected as I bruise easily.

I'm excited to see what lays ahead as most of my friends and family are skeptical of this actually working. I will also have to take some pictures soon and post them!

Keeping my fingers crossed for good results!
