Regardless of my weight, I've always been essentially two sizes -- one on the top and another on the bottom. I'm just hoping to have better balance after the thigh (complete including knee) lipo next week.

First day post-op-- doesn't hurt at all when resting but pain when I try to walk around. Taking drugs to help. Girdle thing is terrible but necessary. Should order in black instead of nude because you can't avoid some blood/drainage getting on it. Learned I need to put a traditional bandaid (big one) on any oozing areas then gauze then the girdle. Saddlebags look gone! Tons of swelling around knees so the rest of my legs look deformed- guessing that's normal for day after surgery.

Day 2 post op- no more bleeding or drainage. Looks like my incisions are sutured not open. Going to ask about that at today's post op appt. I thought incisions were left open to drain quicker. Knees very swollen and uneven but way too soon to worry about that stuff. Still need pain meds but maybe a little less pain today.

Hi there, thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. From what I've seen here on RealSelf, whether an incision is open or closed comes down to the doctors preference of what they think works best. Did you doctor tell you how long to wear the garment for?

Thnx for this. I realyl find RealSelf and all the patients' responses very useful. Especially in my line of work. One thing though, there is no Google +1 button anywhere.. what's up with that? #IJS Thnx for rescolving this by adding a G+1 icon somewhere.
