Breast Enlargement First then Open Rhinoplasty on a Middle Eastern Type Nose... - London, GB

I’ve had both breast enlargement and open rhinoplasty with Dr Allen Rezai and I am extremely happy with the outcome of both. I did not have both at the same time though, had the implants first and then after a year and couple of months had rhinoplasty.

As long as I can remember, I’d been unhappy with my breast size and big bulbous nose. But for cultural reasons my family were against me having cosmetic surgery. My mum was the only one supporting my decision, as she knew how I truly felt. She came along with me to my initial consultation with Dr Rezai, she was more nervous than I! But few minutes in to the consultation and she was all smiles. We both felt at ease with Dr Rezai. The consultations were very thorough and I had a further two appointmrents with him before the operation for sizing. For my nose I only saw him twice as I felt everything was clear and I had no need to see him a 3rd time. I had both surgeries at the Highgate private hospital in north London, the nurses there were lovely, they seemed to know Dr Rezai for a longtime. I stayed overnight for both, had no issues following the general anaesthetic, I’d heard some horror stories about feeling sick afterwards but fortunately I didn't! However I did feel some pain during the first week following my breast enlargement, especially the first three, four days, but this was expected as I had my implants under the muscle, I took painkillers and made sure I took them on time and this helped a lot. The overall recovery for me took about ten days and at about 7 months both my breasts had settled into a very nice and natural shape. I did however, have occasional shooting pain in my right breast up to a year but Dr Rezai said it’s a sign of nerve regeneration and that it was positive. I have annual checkups as part of my aftercare, I had the 2nd one last week, I can’t believe how time flies!

Now my rhinoplasty was a complicated one, I had a typical middle eastern nose with a hump, bulbous hanging tip and large nostrils, not an easy task for any doctor!

During consultation, Dr Rezai drew diagrams to explain what changes he would make to which areas. He used the open technique, removed the hump, made the bridge slightly narrower, refined the tip and put a graft there to lift it. He also made my nostrils smaller. I had the splint on for ten days, at which time it had become very loose. I felt no pain at all, after the rhinoplasty. The only pain I felt was at my six weeks follow-up when I had an injection in my nose to reduce swelling and prevent scar tissue from building. But it was worth it as it did help reduce the swelling quite a bit. I had a 2nd injection at three months, again this made quite a difference. Now 18 months passed and no one can tell I had a nose job, that’s how natural its shape is and it’s in harmony with rest of my face.
Both my breasts and my nose feel as part of me, like they’ve always been this way, my confidence is high and I am at a very happy place in my life. I have Dr Rezai to thank for this :)
