Not Worth It
Spent: $1,550 in Worcester, MA

I just had fat transfer procedure on Thursday. By the evening (8:00 p.m.) you could barely tell anything was done, swelling included. I am extremely disappointed and went back to the doctor within 24 hours. Today (48 hrs later) it looks okay, but I expect more than 50% to go away. This is very very very disappointing to me.

My Doctor:

Very unhappy with the results. Doesn't appear to have any overfill. I can tell after 48 hours, the results won't last.

More than 50% goes away, only about 30% is supposed to remain no matter what surgeon. There is not much swelling with fat transfer, I know I had it done several times. If the surgeon spun the fat before injecting it in you then that is good because then he can inject less of live fat, not a whole bunch of dead fat. 48 hrs is premature to say you think it won't work.

What doctor did you go to?

I went to Dr. Del Vecchio in Boston, a highly regarded surgeon. However, I don't think fat grafting is his forte, and it didn't come out good at all.
