I am mom to 3 fabulous boys ages 11. 9 and almost 5. I am also a foster mom to a 4 year old boy and 1 year old girl. We are a very busy happy household. I have gained and lost pretty much the same 25 pounds for the last 12 years. All my pregnancies were insulin dependent and my last baby was delivered by c-section. I am 5'4 and 183 lbs. Not my ideal weight, but the weight that my body seems to "re-set" itself too despite my efforts. My stomach is my biggest barrier, both mentally and physically. I've been wanting a TT forever. Before pictures to come...

All the best!

less than 2 weeks away!! I am out of my skin with excitement! I have a hard time not telling everyone I see that I am having a tummy tuck...I almost blurted it out to the check out lady while paying for my groceries :) I took my before photos today. Then I showed some of my friends them at play group this morning. I am ready to post my photos on line. I can't wait to see them next to my after photos.

Pouring over the pictures and stories on this site daily. You guys are awesome. Starting an elimination diet on Monday that involves cutting out salt, sugar, caffeine and wheat (bread and pasta). I did it two weeks ago, lost 5 pounds and felt great (after my two day caffeine with draw headache). I think it will help with the healing, less swelling and indigestion is my theory :) I guess I will see...
Can't wait to see your photos! You must look fantastic. Two more sleeps and I'll be where you are...eek!! So excited :)

2 more days!! Thanks for checking in everyone :) I'm not nervous at all. It is a bit daunting however because we are selling our house. Been on the market 30 days now and we have a showing pretty much every other day! There is one tomorrow, praying they want it and the madness ends :)

Today is post op day 5! I LOVE, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!...

Today is post op day 5! I LOVE, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!! I finally feel comfortable in my own skin! I have no idea what it even looks like under the bandages, and I don't care! My enormous growth is gone, history!! And I'm not looking back for a second. I have had no swelling, my drains don't bother me at all, and I have very little discomfort. Hubby is home and taking care of things perfectly (he even washed my hair for me today) and my 3 boys have been amazing!! I am very blessed, so grateful for this huge change in my life. I will take some pics soon :) Oh! The doctor removed 3 pounds of fat (lipo) and 5 pounds of skin and fat!! Thats 8 pounds in total. Weighed myself and I am now 174. I can't wait to watch that # go down as I get back into my regular routines and hit the trails again. I would do this all over again in a heart beat, wish I had let myself do it years ago....
post some more pics :)

Thanks everyone!! I feel fantastic. Today however, I understand why people talk about "swell hell". I did some shopping and lunch with my sister in law and mom...3 hours later and my stomach is hard and swollen! Very uncomfortable under my binder :( But all things consider, thats not so bad really. I'm starting to sleep on my side at night now too and that is helpful, I've never been a back sleeper. I go back on Wednesday for another follow up, I'll post more photos then. I'm surprised that all my clothes still fit. Logically they would of course, as my only weight loss is in my stomach....I just look WAY better in them!! Especially my fave weekend wear, Yoga pants and a snug hoodie. I feel amazing :) Loving every minute of it!

Just past the 2 week post op mark and I'm doing pretty good. Had my belly button stitches out on June 6, and the tape removed from my incision. I am amazed at how amazing it looks, thin and barely there. I had a breast reduction 20 years ago, and those faded white scars look worse than this new one!! Oh how far we have come :) I'm mostly uncomfortable in the area around my belly button (it is a bit leaky and sore) and I am looking forward to the day when I can sneeze without bracing myself for the worse. I am so happy with my new body! I am down12 lbs, and everyone notices. Most of my girlfriends notice my boobs first, lol, One friend refers to them as my porn star boobs! I guess they are much more prominent now that my enormous stomach is no longer the focus. I have some more photos, I will post them soon.
So glad to hear from you again!

So I woke up with a fever on Saturday morning and my irritated slightly red belly button was full on pussy and infected. Sent my PS a photo and he called in a prescription for me right away. Today in the shower a piece of tape from my incision came off and my husband noticed that a had a quarter sized opening above my pubic bone. I had felt a hard hot bump there and assumed it was swelling from my belly button. Luckily ( I hope) I am on antibiotics. I am still running a steady fever. I have an appointment with my PS tomorrow afternoon. Ugh. Sucks :( Even now tho, I would still do this all over again. Praying that this is just a little blip in my road to recover.
wow trenches, be careful with that and make sure you see ps right away as you said and keep us updated....................

Things are going much better now. On day 6 of antibiotics and feeling a bit better but a little nauscios still. I would love to fast forward the next 3 weeks and see what everything looks like then. I don't know if its my enormous swollen VJ ( sorry TMFI) but I am soooo horny. Its almost uncomfortable. Hubby refuses to touch me until the 6 week mark, he does't want to risk hurting me. I've been trying to convince him that we could go slow and easy but so far its a no go. I've been ill so in all fairness that could also be a turn off :) If u don't mind sharing I'd love to know when you all got your grove back :)
I'm doing well. Infection has cleared up nicely. Still some clear fluid leaking but not bad. The opening on my incision has healed over nicely as well. I took some photos. Prettty gross looking, not sure if i will post them. Also have a really hard baseball sized bump on my pubic bone and into the top of my vagina. Very uncomfortable. My PS said it was dead fat that would soften up and disappear eventually. I just wish it would hurry up and be over. Ready to get on with my life.

Hi there. I know you are way post op now. Found your post and I was curious if that bump on the pubic area ever dissolved? I'm 3 weeks PO and have the same thing and it is so painful and worrisome. If you have a moment please tell me your experience. Also is the numb belly feeling gone?

Hope you are doing well!! I go in for surgery in two weeks and it looks like we look about the same!! Happy healing!!!
