“Loving my New Nose”
I have always liked my appearance but I have always felt my big nose was the focus point of my face. After 35 years I decided to finally have rhinoplasty surgery. I researched several doctors online before making a decision.
At the intial consultation things went well and the doctor had a nice calm demeanor. We discussed what I wanted and what he was able to do without comprimising my nose. We then set the date about a month later. Hardest part was waiting the month to get rid of my old nose. I so anxious to get it over with
Day of the surgery was a breeze. Went to the office. Filled out some forms. Talked to the doctor and his staff which were all great. Preped for surgery and it was finally time to go. Got my IV and was out quick. Seemed like the whole thing took about 30 minutes but I was really there for 4 hours total. Funny something I wanted so long was over so quickly.
Anyways, not alot of pain. Ate alot of soup the first few days. I had bruising but not that bad. Went back to the doctor a week later to have the cast removed. The doctor handed me the mirror and I was like ooooh. Even though I was prepared it wasnt wait I expected. Pig look and swollen. The doctor said it looked great but I was still nervous.
2 weeks later still felt the same. Was thinking I will need corrective surgery. But, I was wrong. At exactly 3 weeks my nose started to appear. I am extremely happy with how it looks even though the tip is still a little swollen. But I can see enough to know that its exactly what I wanted. I am extremely happy. Its going to be a great summer.
