I am Rodnée Renée but some know me as Cupcake Castillo a hobby alternative model. I have 3 beautiful children. They are what inspired me to take control of my life and to get healthy. They needed me! My fiancé is Kiddo Castillo at Ase One Tattoo. I had RNY January 13, 2010 and I've lost 181 pounds! I eat right and exercise daily to maintain the weight loss. It seems to be a common misconception among the general population, that you will always keep the weight off because of the surgery or that we will forever eat just a bite or two. I had to make life altering changes in order to continue on this successful path. I cant go back. I WONT go back! I carry around a burden that can only be lifted through surgery. I can only wear yoga/stretch denim because the amount of excess skin in the thigh region, is much more than someone with my waist. I'm constantly pulling and readjusting my clothing. Exercise is a big part of my life. I know my performance and technique is hindered. When running or jumping the weight and force of the skin is quite painful. I'm prone to skin rashes and painful pimples/boils because of the sweat and friction in between the folds of skin. Being in the gastric bypass community online I made lots of friends that I've inspired along my journey, like they inspire me. I've been talking with the nurses from Dr. Fernando Guerrerosantos in Guadalajara, Mexico for $14,960. This is seeming very promising that I may go through him provided I raise enough donations. Mom of 3 on government assistance , my fiancé owes student loans from attending the Institute of Art school, it is not possible for us to get a medical loan. I am hoping that maybe someone or a bunch of someones can help. I smile and push through the pain because I believe in the power of positive thinking. We all have our moments of weakness. I have wondered if I will keep on the path if I have to live another 50+ years in pain and discomfort or if I can't physically see the fruits of my labor. This has nothing to do with vanity because I know I am beautiful and everything to do with reconstructing my body to the way it was intended so I can continue truly living life without the pain and burden of my excess skin.?
