After loosing over 50 pounds, and keeping it off for almost 2 years, it was time to remove that 'apron' of excess skin and fat that won't diet away. Surgery went well except for heavy bleeding from varicose veins on the abdomen. As a result of the excess bleeding, my body produced an excess of fluid and created a huge seroma, covering my entire abdomen.
My plastic surgeon was amazing! He calmly treated every issue my body tossed at him-seromas, eschar (dead skin turned black), split open incisions, and major adhiesence of the entire abdominal area. He cleaned and trimmed and restitched my wound every the days for almost two months. He came in on weekends, during his vacation, and even on his birthday! He and his superb staff were professional, friendly, and skillful.
