Nearing the 6 month mark

I havent been on here in a while. I update all the time on my instagram if you are interested. Look up @lunday.love

Anyways, healing is great. No issues whatsoever. I am back 100% to weight lifting and running.I have absolutely zero restrictions on my workouts. I just moved so i am no where near my surgeon anymore but if i ever needed anything I would travel back to ENC to see him again, for sure. If you are in ENC and are looking, go to Dr. Rizzuti.

2wk follow up

Went in today for my follow up. 17 days post op. Got my stitches removed from around my belly button, as well as the scabs that attached themselves to the sutures. Felt a bit weird but no pain. Just a slight tug, if that. Doc seemed to be very happy with my results. Felt around for any excess fluids and found none. We talked about scar creams and he said i could use any kind i wanted once all the scabs were off my scar and it was healed and i mentioned my use of coconut oil since i had used it on my previous csection and he said that was perfectly fine. I dont want to use anything else because a. im kinda hippy ish and coconut oil works well for me and my csection scar was so light you could barely see it so i assume the same will happen with this. If you look at my pictures the right side of my incision where the scabs have been off for a few days is already fading quite well. So we shall see. I asked about returning back to my workouts as im getting ancy and would love to be back in the gym. I cannot do any ab work until the 6wk mark which is april 20th but im free to start the treadmill or elliptical or even a slow job as i feel comfortable. I will start out with lengthening my walks to get used to the distance again before running. Im still quite tight and swollen but every day its getting better. I have no regrets. Im loving this.

Dr. Rizzuti was really nice. He explained everything in detail and i didnt even have to look at my notes of things to ask because it came up in regular conversation just talking about what i want, what he does, etc. The staff was great. They were even able to get all my stuff done at my initial consult so that I would not have to make the drive out there before surgery as i live over an hour away. I am very much looking forward to my surgery in 3 weeks, i know I will be in great hands.
