Just over 3 weeks post-op!

Hello all!

Hope you're all doing well!
I can't believe its already been 3 weeks! It feels like its flown by so quickly now that it's finally done. Everything seems to be coming along quite nicely. My former bigger side, the left, is dropping faster than my right. But my right side is my predominate side also, I'm a righty. I've been trying to refrain from lifting/pushing/pulling when I don't have to. One very good thing about my MIL being here is having her helping out around the house and with the kids.
I can tell my left side is also getting softer but I can tell a major difference in both of them. The incisions both look great too. I was a tad bit worried because Alex gave me a huge bear hug and I felt pain in my boobs afterwards. I was so paranoid as to whether it did something or like popped my internal stitches. Definitely a worry wart there! Lol..

I've included pictures for all of you. Let me know what you think!

Finally almost glue free.

Took a nice long shower today and finally all the glue on my incisions started lifting and I could pick them off. Yepp shouldn't have done that probably but man does it feel so much better! I think they're looking pretty good!

Happy New Year!

Good morning and happy 2015!

Hope everyone had a great time ringing in the new year! Unfortunately ours was bittersweet.. One of the hardest things I've had to do, but we had to put down our fur baby. Our boxer Kimber. She was the best dog and especially for our kids. They could do practically anything to that dog and she'd never do anything. It was total chance we had her since while we lived in West Virginia Alex found her on one of his job sites. We took her in and lone behold she was a full blooded and only 6 months old. It happened so quickly I never would have imagined having to put her down. It started out as just a redness that started in her left eye Christmas Day. By Sunday evening it had swollen drastically and looked like it was almost hemorrhaging. Alex and I took her to the vet Monday morning and the vet agreed with what we suspected was just a trauma to the eye, possibly her and Cletus playing and maybe he scratched it. Yesterday morning I had to call again because her right eye also started doing the same. Last night she had what we think is an episode of seizures and called first thing this morning.. All four vets weighed in on her and her situation and all believe that she had a cancerous mass, more than likely in her brain which would have caused the eye issues, and it ruptured. There was testing/treatment available but the vet and we agreed that with the chance of it not even working at all it wasn't worth her suffering any longer. If it would have worked there was a very good chance it would only happen again months down the road. My poor girl was only 4-5 years old, entirely way too young =(
Alex is wanting to get another just like her but I don't know when it works be best, I don't want to get one too soon. We'll see!

In other happier news, the girls are feeling better and better. I think my biggest complaint is my damn nipples being so sensitive! I keeping forgetting to pick up some lanolin cream for breast feeding. I know that would help a lot since the issue is partially due to my nipples themselves being somewhat raw from rubbing against my bras.

I can lay more comfortably on my sides. When did everyone start noticing that they're incision areas seemed to soften up and not be as hard? I think that's the only thing that tends to bother me laying on my sides. One incision has more glue on it than the other and that one definitely pulls. Drives me nuts! Haha.

I'll update with pictures soon!
