Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Update!

Just updating, I thought it might be nice to track my scars on a yearly basis! If anyone knows of or could recommend a surgeon in Michigan that specializes in scar removal please let me know! :)

2 Years Post-Op Scarring

These are my scars nearly two years post-op. I have stopped treatment of the silicone strips and bio-oil, as I did not see that much improvement.
However, I may begin the treatments again; what are your opinions on treating 2-year old scars? Will it be worth the time, energy, and money?
I was supposed to go back this Christmas break to get my scars "reviewed", but she explained she would simply re-cut me, pull the skin up closer to my areola, and restitch me.

I'm not so sure about this, and I do not trust my surgeon since the incident. Unless I find an alternative surgeon who deals with cases similar to mine, this may be it for me.

Opinions and suggestions are welcomed! You guys have been great.
Also, I updated my info on who my surgeon was, as I do not plan to revisit her anytime in the near future.

Hydroquinone Cream Since mid-August

Here are some photos of my scars after about 6-7 weeks of religious topical application of prescription hydroquinone cream and the silicone gel sheets. As you can see, not a huge improvement, besides the flattening of the scar.
But, it's been barely two months so I'm going to keep at it. The scars are turning pink again and peel a little bit every day so I'm staying optimistic!
Sorry I got back so late!

4 years post-op and still suffering from horrendous scars that were left on my breasts after my breast augmentation. My initial review did not disclose her name due to fear for burning bridges with a doctor who I thought might still fix the mistakes the she caused.
