After the last mammo I was told that the old implants were leaking-who would have known 30 plus years ago when I had them implanted that I would have to replace them. When I visited Dr Merkel he explained in detail the removal procedure and what he expected to find. All was much worse as the silicone had started really seeping into my body- he took the time to clean up the tissue and then replace the implants and the new ones are much better than the old ones ever were in shape as well as feel.

I have used Dr Merkel for several procedures and have found that he as well as well as hie staff imbody professionalism and the care given to you makes you feel as tho you are his only patient.
Yeah, sadly implants are generally not forever. I'm glad you're happier with your new ones though. Thanks for sharing here on RealSelf!
