“Good Results... Corrected Deviated Septum Still Swollen Though (2 Weeks)”

I had my operation in Oslo hense the price as Norway is very expensive, but I was working out here and found a very experienced surgeon. I had the op under local as well so I was able to talk to and know what was going on.. I was scared about this at the consultation but I was very positive and relaxed going in and the post op recovery was very quick.. in and out having a cuppa and a banana in 4 hours.

I went in to have a lump removed from the top of my nose and also a small bump on the side which was an indication of a linear francture to the septum... resulting in a deviated septum, so I had this corrected, which resulted in my nose being strightened too.

PROS:
Just uncomfortable, not ever painfull.
After 2 weeks I am very happy with the straightness of my nose on profile and front views.. although I am still finding it hard to breath through my ride side, which was originally closed. Hopefully these results will improve over a month or so. The lower contact of my nose is still sore and my smile is still somewhat restrained and my nostrils flare to the side a bit more than I like.

CONS:
Even with the results I am happy with, its strange that I am feeling a little disappointed, which I put down to having a build up of expectations. Thinking back I was so excited to finally be getting it fixed that I put so much trust into the surgeon for the look I wanted.. leaving it 80% up to him on what was possible to improve the look of my nose.

My expectations built up so much and with the commitment made and money paid, I think it is also easy to overanalyse things... im looking at my nose now more than I ever did before, wondering what this would look like or that.. (now I sympathyse with Jacko and friends). I think I was anticipating a new me that people would notice.. yet to find out but I think I have a very subtle change.

I dont regret having it done, it looks much better but if I could again I would spend a lot more time explaining what I wanted and understanding for me what was possible, to remove thoughts of further ops and results... oh dear... bold and the beautiful here I come!! :)
