I am a busy mom of three. I carried three big...
I am a busy mom of three. I carried three big babies, all delivered via C-section, and was left with stretched out skin and a tummy that just would not respond to exercise. I am not a small woman, I have a larger more athletic frame, at 5'7". I am an active person, I run and lift weights every week. It was so frustrating to be at my lowest weight and my most fit and yet I still had that darn pooch on my tummy. Not to mention the breasts I was left with after nursing babies (on a side note something I would never go back and change!). They were smaller, very uneven, saggy and just not that pretty any more. I never had large breasts, and that was never my motivation. Really I just wanted a tummy that didn't bounce while I did jumping jacks! I always waffled on the breasts, but thought that if I was fixing the tummy I should fix the "girls" too.
I researched and debated for 2 years if I should have this surgery. The cost, the vanity, another surgery to add to my list, the healing/down time away from my kids, family, home and work responsibilities, all were factors that made me waiver on the decision. I met with multiple surgeons, and still I waivered. Then a friend who had had the same procedures recommended that I go visit Dr. Vath at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Golden, Colorado. As soon as I met with him I was at ease, I knew within minutes that this was the Doctor and practice for me.
My experience with the Center for Cosmetic Surgery was positive from the start. The patient coordinators and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I never felt pressure to do additional procedures or make changes to my "plan". Leading up to surgery everyone was very responsive to any and all questions and concerns I had.
The day of my surgery, at the Apex Surgery Center, was no different. I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff and an amazing nurse. The nursing staff, anesthesiologist and Dr. Vath were all so great at easing my nerves and making me feel so comfortable. The surgery went well and once again the staff was great in the recovery period. The night of the surgery I was home in bed and the phone rang, to our surprise it was Dr. Vath himself checking in on me, making sure we made it home safely and that I was doing ok. Not to mention the next day we got a second call from our nurse checking in. What wonderful patient care!
Today I am 3 weeks post-op. I already feel great. I was easily back to work on day 12, and walked 2.5 miles just this morning. My results are awesome! My tummy is flat and I now have a “nice matching set” of breasts.
Dr. Vath’s no drain tummy tuck is so the way to go! I have to admit that the no drains was one reason I was so interested in visiting the Center for Cosmetic Surgery in the first place, but in the end the professionalism and comfort was what made me choose them. I would recommend Dr. Vath to anyone who is considering a tummy tuck, “mommy makeover” or any other cosmetic procedure.

Dr. Vath, the staff, nurses and anesthesiologist were very professional, knowledgeable, discrete, kind and comforting. I would recommend Dr. Vath and The Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Apex Surgery Center to anyone, and already have to a few friends interested in similar surgeries.
