One month appointment today with Dr. Steinwald (xoxo - *muah* - the best) reminded me that I should update with some new pics.
The last month:

Relationship with hubby..... Umm... How to describe the new confidence and vigor we both share in the bedroom. He even "interrupted" during my update writing because our little guy was watching a movie and we had "time". If I was on the fence before about what surgery would be like in our long-term relationship - OMG - we are like honeymooners. My bedroom confidence has increased * 1000. My security has opened up my sexuality; I never even considered what kind of havoc my hesitations, pull-backs, and hiding had put on our 13-year relationship. Perhaps more importantly, I never realized how much more of myself I could give, and learn and love by adding a wee bit of "woman" and a whole lot of body confidence. I never saw myself as the plastic surgery "type", but I've got to say - total believer if it is what will reignite the soul.

I was able to work very soon after surgery (lots of desk work and meetings) but had the excuse of the holidays to take it easy around the lab/office. Very positive reception at work - most people don't notice the BA unless I've told them because of the size of my "add 2 cups" push-up bras I've worn post-breastfeeding. Now, I've added 2 cups that don't get taken off and dumped a lot of "fake" bras (funny what we consider "fake"!!! I feel like my girls are real!!! - great surgeon, perfect size).

My 5-yr old talks to me about them; I think it's really funny. He told me he's glad I got "breasts" (had to teach him that one - I've never had them before) because I'm "more cozy to snuggle during movies like Ninja Turtles".

Gym confidence has gone WAY up. I started back with low intensity exercise (revolving stair climber and recumbent bike were my buddies) not long after surgery (~1+ week). Quickly progressed to things like barre classes and cycle, and am now back to my fav's including running and plyometrics, but still have to modify the asana in yoga (on knees, still not push-up ready - maybe next week).

I have been thrilled with the process and delighted with results. Dr. Steinwald at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery is a PRO! I have already recommended several girlfriends... AND my MOTHER (for a lift)!

I shared this review prior to operation, but now, just 24 hours out, I want to shout from the roof-tops about the outstanding care, confidence and success of my breast augmentation surgery. After a year of breastfeeding a beautiful boy ending ~4 years ago my breasts had never been the same - they had deflated to sad little puppy ears which was affecting my self-esteem and my satisfaction in the bedroom with my adoring and monogamous husband of 10 years. After meeting with him, I met with my patient counselor, Kim Molloy, whose warmth and care set me at ease and made the process of size selection so easy to understand. I kind of love her.
They were able to get me in for surgery rather quickly given a sudden pre-holiday cancellation which I gladly took. On day of the nursing staff was caring, detail oriented and efficient (thank you to Debbie, Kathy and Brenda). Of particular note is the warm and personable anesthesiologist, Dr. Carpenter, who eased any linger trepidation prior to the "event" - what a lovely man! Most important - my implants are gorgeous. As a science profession myself I went in with quite realistic expectation - these have been shattered in the most wonderful way. For anyone in the Denver/Front-range area considering breast augmentation or cosmetic surgery of any kind, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Steinwald and the superb staff, nurses and anesthesiologist at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery. Only day one, but I am confident this is the best decision I have ever made.Please see review above. Dr. Steinwald is a true professional and artist. My results have exceeded my wildest expectation and I was treated with the utmost respect and highest quality of care throughout, including personal phone calls evening of and 24-hour post op appointment and instructions with him, not the nursing staff. I had "don't know" previously because I hadn't had the surgery - would I do this again? 100% yes! Would I return to Dr. Steinwald at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Golden, CO? Yes! Have I already recommended to my friends and family (including my mother who is now considering a breast lift)? YES. If there's an admin folk out there who can show me how to reflect my overwhelming excitement in this procedure with this team - please let me know!
