Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!

Believe me, you'll want a buddy/taxi after this. And also, since the abs are being done (major!) you'll be swaddled and should avoid any contact with others as you'll be dripping and oozing for a few days!

my doctor insisted that I take a zanex and a pain killer before the procedure, which really helped, but you shouldn't drive while taking any of these Meds.

I've lived in Glasgow for 2 years. Get a place to stay, and preferably, a buddy to help you. It is major surgery, not routine. Book a hotel and plan to watch cable for a few days.

It is local ansetheic, I can book into a hotel no probs there, will see how I feel after I got if done.
Will I been able to eat before I get it done?

I'm not sure with local anesthetic. Best to ask your doctor's office on that one.

Hi Keith,

Welcome to RealSelf! One of RealSelf's co-founders had lipo on his chin and has posted a rundown of his experience here.

Do you have anyone who can go with you to the surgery or stay overnight? It's possible to drive after surgery (depending on the type of anesthetic and how good you feel) but it'd be much easier if you could get someone to help you. You can even hire a nurse for a few days to help change your dressings and things.

Hope this helps!
