I have 2 children and had a 50 lb weight gain. Was diagnosed with a thyroid problem while in the Navy. I broke my leg and pelvis while on a duty related accident. I slowly gained the weright and couldnt shed it. started thyroid medicine and one yr later had not lost a lb. wanted this surgery for some time and had plenty of stretch marks. once I realized i was not gonna be able to lose the weight or get rid of my stretch marks, i decided to finally get the surgery. I am 32 and knew i wasnt having any more children and this was the time for me.

I had the surger 5 days ago and am so glad i did. im still sore and swollen but its getting better. i didnt have drainage tubes so the process is a little different from others i talked to. i dont have to worry about emptying the tubes.

everyday is diffrent. i cant wait till i am fully recovered and can get up and get out of the house.

it has been a week since my surgery. i feel good and today is my post op appt. everyday the swelling and brusing gets better.

my appt went well and everything is looking good. he took off 3 lbs of fat with the lipo and a little over 2 lbs of fat with the tummy tuck. he said not to step on the scale as it will probably not reflect any weight loss due to the swelling. if i dont lose a lb i am happy with the way my body looks now. he said not to drive for another week, he said knowing me if he gave me the go-ahead i will be going non stop so take it easy. he is correct i would be out going going going. but i will take it easy for now.

Wow they took almost your entire tattoo! They really stretched that tummy way down.

It looks amazing and very colorful right now. Take it super easy so that you heal properly. No marathons just yet. Sit out in the sunshine if you can and that really helps your mood and perks you up.
