For the 3-4 years prior to undergoing breast augmentation I felt unhappy and self conscious with the size of my breasts. It was always something that bothered me and for a long time I had the idea to possibly have breast augmentation surgery. At the age of 21, the idea of breast augmentation became more realistic as I was able to afford it and mentally I felt ready to undergo plastic surgery. I spent endless amounts of time researching and googling 'breast implants' ' surgeons'. I found the search to be quite frustrating, as there is a lot of options out there, but at the same time, many didn't quite seem genuine or professional and this was not a decision I wanted to rush into. The decision became a lot clearer for me when one of my friends informed me that two of her friends and herself all had Peter Callan perform their breast augmentations. As Peter is situated in Geelong and I am in Melbourne I didn't even think to search this area. However, I was willing to travel any distance all over Australia if I knew that I found the right surgeon. I was thankful that my friend passed on Peters details and immediately I researched Peter and came across great reviews. From there I emailed Peter Callans rooms and received a prompt reply. From here I booked in for a consultation. At the consultation Peter sat down with me and went into detail about the procedure. He was honest, he explained to me all the possible risks and what the procedure entails. From there Peter assessed my body and suggested a size that would be suitable for my build. Through a 3-D imaging machine I was able to look at myself to see what I would look like after the surgery to ensure that I was happy with the size I was choosing. It was really good and also relieving being able to see what I would look like after surgery. At no time did I feel pressured into booking into surgery (I had many forceful surgeons prior to Peter trying to book me in for a consultation). From here I knew that i wanted breast augmentation and I knew I wanted Peter to perform it so I booked in my surgery date. approximately 5 months post op and I am loving my results! From the start I wanted natural-looking breasts, which Peter assured me they would look very natural, and they do. I have gone from an A cup to a C cup, which was my ideal size. I honestly could not be happier with my results.

From the very start Peter Callan was always very professional. As soon as I first made contact with Peter Callan I received a prompt and friendly reply. At each consultation Peter would go into detail about what the procedure would involve, the pros and the cons. He was always honest and always gave his honest opinion. At no time did I ever doubt Peter, from day one I knew I had chosen the right surgeon. As I have an inflammatory bowel disease, the risks involved with surgery were always going to be a little bit higher for me than someone without an inflammatory bowel disease. Prior to contacting Peter Callan I made contact with various other surgeons, many of them refusing to perform breast augmentation on me due to my medical condition. They would simply refer me on to someone else as they would openly admit that they were not experienced enough. I therefore wanted to ensure that I chose someone who had the experience and confidence to perform breast augmentation and I knew that to choose my surgeon I would have to feel safe with them performing it on me. As soon as I met Peter I knew that he had extensive experience in performing breast augmentation and I felt very confident choosing to go with him. At not one time did I doubt my decision in choosing Peter, and looking back now after having the surgery 5 months ago I honestly could not be happier. I am also very thankful that I did my research and did not rush into any decisions. Peters bedside manner was also incredible and although the memory is a little bit foggy, I remember him constantly checking in and making sure I was feeling okay. The staff working with Peter were also very nice, they are very bubbly, caring and genuine. The week following surgery I would receive a phone call nearly everyday to check in on how I was going and even just a text message here or there making sure I was feeling okay. I look back on my breast augmentation as a very positive experience and I am so excited from the results of my surgery. There is definitely no looking back from here.
