I have been wanting a tummy tuck for a few years, since I found out liposuction wouldn't get rid of the abdominal flab from having 3 kids. I am 5'3 and I weigh 137 pounds. I'm happy with my curves, meaning my size D boobs, my hips and my butt but my abdomen is hindering my confidence. I want to be sexy!

I'm so excited for my surgery, as if I was going in vacation or getting a new car. I got my preop packet today and my appointment is on march 6ty Witt surgery being march 13. I haven't told anyone that I'm getting it fine yet besides my husband, I guess I don't want to hear any negativity before the procedure since I feel so good about it right now. Has anyone else felt that keeping it to yourself is the best way? After the surgery I plan to tell my closest friends but that's probably it, I don't feel it's anyone else's business. I'm not great at keeping a secret so I'll probably confide in a good friend that I know will only give me words of encouragement. I'm super excited and have been looking at people's stories daily, it really really helps!

Ok, I had my preop today and it went well. I got a prescription for pain meds and something for nausea. I don't have to be on a clear liquid diet the day before surgery but I can't eat after midnight. They drew blood and instructed me to shower with antibacterial soap the day before, not to wear perfume, lotion, makeup or jewelry. He said I will go home the first day with a urinary catheter that will be removed at my follow up visit 1 day post op. I ordered a bunch of stuff on amazon as it had no tax and free shipping such as Arnica, Bromelain, gauze, heating pad, stool softners, puppy pads, arnica cream, and antibacterial ointment ( just in case). I have a recliner and my husband went with me to my appointment because I'm not sure he knew what he was getting into. By reading everyone else's story I feel like a tummy tuck expert... Thanks everybody. The countdown begins, even downloaded an app like I saw in someone else's page. 6 days 14 hours and 28 minutes to go. YAY!!

This site has been great in easing my fears. I am ready now to get it done, deal with the pain and recover. I'm looking forward to summer, hopefully I will be able to wear a bikini this year, which I haven't been able to wear since I was 20. My husband will take care of me but I haven't told my kids yet because I don't want them to tell other people. I use restraint as far as what I eat and I exercise I just don't want it to seem like I used plastic surgery to get all my other goods such as my boobs or my butt, so that's part of the reason I'm hesitant to tell others. I think I'm just gonna tell my kids that I'm getting my stomach fixed and not go into any further details, they're 6, 8, and 11 so I don't really expect them to ask more about it. I'm trying to keep busy so that Wednesday will be here before I know it. I so enjoy everyone's posts it gives me an idea what to expect, let's see pain, constipation, depression, being hunchbacked and nausea....then ultimate beauty, I say that's a fair trade off. Thanks ladies.

Okay, I think I'm ready. I went to the store today...

Okay, I think I'm ready. I went to the store today and got some gauze tape, and cough drops so with that I think I have everything I need which includes, my prescription pain pills and nausea medication, gauze, bromelain and arnica Montana, stool softner and laxative, palmers vitamin E oil, neosporin, tums, heating pad, Gatorade, crackers, ginger ale, a couple books, arnica cream, puppy pads ( for leakage) and gloves. Less than 24 hours to go! I'm getting TT, MR and lipo of the flanks. I'm telling most ppl I'm getting the muscle/ hernia repair and leaving it at that. I don't want any negativity before my procedure since I'm so Excited about it and not nervous, I don't want to hear all the.. What if this happens or what if that happens? Gotta finish the laundry and cook a few meals, trying to eat light today, the constipation thing kinda worries me. God bless everyone going in today and tomorrow.

so here's a summary of my operation day. Had to be at the center at 7. The nurse came in and took my vitals, I changed into a gown and " marking panties". My PS came in and marked me, he said he could go right below my c section scar which I was very happy about. The nurse anesthetist came in and gave me zofran for nausea and started an IV. Shortly thereafter he gave me something in my IV to relax me, I then walked across the hall and layed on a OR table. The next thing I remember was waking up with abdominal pain. The nurse helped me get dressed and I was in my way. The pain was excruciating once I got home, it was the muscle pain. I was taking two Percocet 5/325 and was barely able to move, and it was only lasting 2 hours. My husband called the PS and they gave me Percocet 7.5 instead. I vomited a few times, I did have phenergan suppository but it didnt help. The vomiting on top of my already severe muscle pain was enormous. later on that night the pain meds became more effective and I was able to go 3.5 hours before the next dose instead if 3. I actually slept pretty good in my recliner. Post op day one I had a follow up apt with the PS, found out he did 600cc of lipo, corrected all the centrist muscles and used the same incision for the lipo. I only have one drain which is coming from the incision, and I did have a Foley catheter the day of surgery which they took out pod 1. That was very helpful because the pain was so bad I'm not sure I would have been able to make it to urinate. Today pain is better, I can go very 4 hour inbetween pain meds and the Percocet 7.5 is bringing my pain down to a 3. I'm walking more today, wearing my garment, and taking stool softners, arnica and bromelain. I can shower tomorrow so I'll take pics with the CG off and post them. Thanks again for all your well wishes and prayers.

Hello ladies, I'm 4 days post op and I must say...

Hello ladies, I'm 4 days post op and I must say it's a good day so far. I had a BM thus am, with the help if Milk of magnesia last night. I was able to go 8 hours before needing a pain pill thus am and I was able to get up and put arnica cream on my bruises, and take my CG off to get a few pictures without feeling like I was going to pass out. Getting up and sitting down is still kinda hard but I'm walking a little straighter. For the ladies that will be getting their TT soon, it's true, everyday you feel better than the day before. I posted a couple more pics today. Happy Healing!!

I'm feeling great! I can't believe just one week...

I'm feeling great! I can't believe just one week ago I was experiencing the worst pain I ever felt, now I'm showering in my own and almost walking upright. I still have my drain but I let draining about 20 per day so hopefully it will be removed at my PS visit tomorrow. I'm not sure if I should expect pain with that it not so I plan to take a pain pill before leaving home just in case they plan in doing something painful at my visit, LOL. I still have a bit of a bulge on my pics hopefully it's just swelling and will go away and be flat once the swelling is all gone. So glad to be on the flat side!!

Made it to two weeks! I went to my PS visit today...

Made it to two weeks! I went to my PS visit today he says everything is coming along nicely. He said to start massaging my scar, he said I could use cocoa butter or oil on it he said the massaging is more important than what I use. No vigorous activity until 6 weeks, but can do light stuff like walking. I feel better and better daily, most ill tight in the midsection, stiff at times, sore at times, still hurts to sneeze or cough. My husband is officially tired of doing what I do but were going out of town for a week I figure I would pick up when we get back. Sad the only way I get a break is by getting sliced open, LOL! Overall definitely worth it and happy with my results. From reading all the reviews I expect the swelling for many weeks so it doesn't bother me. This site is awesome!

I'm 3 weeks and 2 days post op and feel pretty...

I'm 3 weeks and 2 days post op and feel pretty good. I've been on vacation this week and I had two very active days with a lot of walking a d standing, I was fine while I was doing it but by day 3 I felt very tight and hunched over and needed a day of rest. I'm still super swollen at times but I'm feeling more like a Norway person with being able to laugh without it hurting. Soda is still not my friend...it causes so much gas and bloating it makes me uncomfortable. I go back to work on Monday and I should be ready. My next appointment is next week at week 4 and so far so good. Belly button looks weird but I always had an outie and never liked my belly button so it's actually an improvement! I hope everyone is healing nicely. I'll post pictures when I get home, there's no full length mirror here so I haven't even seen my abdomen this whole week...it may be for the best, it's hard to see change when you look at it everyday. Happy Healing!

So I'm 4 weeks out, things are going well. I went back to work this week and in the am with some swelling I love my results but by 2 pm I'm swollen like a puffer fish! I have pain intermittently in the muscle repair area but not bad. I still wear my binder 24/7 my PS said I only had to wear it 4 weeks but I'm not ready to depart from it yet, I feel like the swelling would be worse without it.

I'm 4 weeks out and went to my PS today. He said...

I'm 4 weeks out and went to my PS today. He said my incision and belly button looks good, I've been massaging the Incision daily with vit E oil. I'm back to work and I don't have to see my PS for 2 1/2 months... yay! I still get swelling at the end of everyday but in the am I love what I see.

I'm 7 weeks out and I love the results so far, but...

I'm 7 weeks out and I love the results so far, but I still swell daily. I'm not sure why I thought at 6 weeks I would magically stop swelling... not the case. I still get pains now and then and I still have no feeling around my belly button, but I live how he made my waist look... when I'm not swollen. I'm looking forward to working out again, I feel ready I have just been to busy to do so! Happy Healing!

8 weeks out, no longer sore when I sneeze, finally gave up the CG, but still swelling some.

3 months out...should I try to lose a few pounds

not much different from last post,I still swell daily and it is highly salt dependent. Trying to lose 6 pounds to get to my pre-op weight, sitting around not working out after surgery helper me gain the weight, now I'm working hard trying to get it off. I'm at 140 now, but was 134 preop. Sometimes I wonder if I should be happy with where I am since it all sits in my hips and on the BBL reviews it looks hot on others. Opinions needed!!
