Just wanted to pop in to say that the next day all of my swelling seems to be gone, not that there was much to begin with. I have no bruising or soreness at all. Botox seems to have kicked in, at least a bit!

Excited about the results! I don't look much different, just refreshed!

So I was a bit nervous going into the office and meeting a new Doctor. I was so impressed hat the actual surgeon was the one to administer the injections. I waited in the waiting room for about two minutes before they called me back. He immediately came in to talk about my expectations and so I could ask questions. We spent a long time going over everything! I was completely confident in what was happening when he walked out. He was back within a few minutes and we started.

I ended up doing:
Botox between my brow and forehead area. Not enough to freeze my expression just enough to limit it a bit. I think he used one syringe? I'm sorry I really don't know.

We did Voluma in the cheeks. He did 1/2 a syringe in each cheek and they look incredibly subtle, but nice. He had to make three entry pokes in each cheek and he did not use any form of numbing cream or anything for this or for the Botox. It hurt, but it was tolerable.

They did put numbing cream on my lips before starting the the other two things. By the time he got to my lips the cream had sat on there for awhile. However, the entry of this needle felt pretty painful. Still worth it, but let's just say I felt it go in. He did this in two places on the top lip and two on the bottom. The goal was a full syringe, but he only ended up doing half of a syringe total. He said he would do the rest in a week, that way some of the swelling can go down and I can be sure I want the remainder.

After I left the office I felt just fine! I looks like I was stung by about 30 red ants immediately after, but it subsided within the hour. My lips swelled for an hour and then went down quite a bit.

All in all I love the outcome and can't wait for the Botox to 'kick in'! I am definitely going back next week for the other 1/2 of the juvederm filler in the lips.

I am so happy I found this Doctor, he made me feel so comfortable! He has a lifelong patient.

Going in tomorrow for a Botox touch up. I usually do Botox every six months to year between my brows and forehead regions. I go for a pretty natural look, nothing frozen or stuff looking.

Anyways, this time I also asked for a consult on juvederm to create a more defined cheekbone and slight plump in my lips. I added a before photo and, of course, my inspiration. I completely understand I am not going to ever look like this, but hey, she's gorgeous so why not? I'm not expecting a miracle, just a few little tweaks! I've been contouring my cheeks and using lip plumper for too long! ????

My biggest worry is insane amounts of swelling and bruising, I would hate to end up looking like a hot mess when I come out of the office! I've read up all I can on how to prep for this so now I guess we will find out how it goes tomorrow.
