Day 21
Hating my drain with a passion. It's been 7 days.???? And I want it out. I head back tomorrow for them to check it. The bruising is much better, but it's still very swollen and hard. Fingers crossed!
Post op Day 15
It's definitely a hematoma, and it's huge. :(
They sent me for a CT scan today to confirm the size. I had to have it manually drained (using hand expression and vacumm) and they inserted a drain. Fyi, that whole process is pretty painful. They said I have to keep the drain in for at least a week.
I'm having a hard time walking due to the swelling (it's causing nerve compression). They put me back on antibiotics and percocet until this resolves.
Fun fact...most insurances will not cover complications from plastic surgery. So if you have to have any sort of imaging done, you will pay out of pocket for it.
