5 week PO update

Hi all, hope your recovery is well and/or hope you are getting ready for upcoming procedures. I will be taking new pics in the next few days and will post them soon. I saw my ps today and everything is going well. I am a little over a month out or 5 ish weeks today. I have lost literally 25 pounds since my surgery and I am still swollen in certain areas. I am shocked I have lost so much, however, I am eating a high protein, low carb diet with very few cheat days. I am wearing a large size workout tank and capri pants and it has become obvious that I should start looking for medium sizes!! I have not been a medium for years! Also, all of my pants are high waisted mom jeans that are too big and fold in the front. I need to start looking for hip hugger pants! The ps surgeon said I look great, my incision is still open just a little now (smaller than when it began) and I keep applying Vaseline and changing dressings 4x a day until it begins to heal. The only thing that is a little discouraging is my left inner thigh, it was bigger than my right thigh and I had lipo to both. It seems that I have a small pouch of skin sticking out, nowhere near as bad as before. I thought it was swelling but the ps said today that I actually have extra skin on my left inner thigh. He said it might improve because I am only 5 weeks out, however, I might consider a small thigh lift just to that thigh in the future if it doesn't get better. Honestly, I am not sure if its that big of a deal, my stomach is gone and my thighs no longer touch, so I am happy. I can buy bikinis with that little short bottom to cover my thigh, no biggie. Of course, I will probably ask him a quote to see if its affordable and worth doing and doesn't cause a ton of downtime, but I want to be at my goal weight first because I plan on using more weight. Anyways, that's my progress so far. I am doing great!! Also, word of caution. Anyone who is doing or considering doing a version of the Atkins diet post-op. Watch out for their tv dinners, they are FULL of sodium, which I did NOT notice until I was extremely bloated all of last week! As soon as I cut down the sodium, it all went away!

30 day PO pics :)

Still swollen but notice the muscle appearance down the middle of my tummy- awesome

30 PO Update

I can finally stand straight all the way! When I first get up from sitting, Im still hunched a bit until I stretch and then I can walk all the way straight. Pain is much much better. I am in my pre-op pants and actually I am able to fit in about 3 size smaller pants, although the tightness is uncomfortable. Im still swollen, however, I can now feel and see my abs-OMG!! I cant believe it! I look toned and I can feel the muscles, its soo freaking cool! Otherwise, getting better everyday. I do have some hardness/lumpy areas from the lipo, however, my dr offers free post-op lipo treatments twice a week to work that out.
