I want to tell you that Fraxel does hurt..get a friend to drive you and take a pain pill or anti anxiety pill that your dr gives you.. It was worth it.. I think if you have severe acne you need to have them filled with a filler after your treatments.. it can reduce the scars but the pits need to be filled and you will look great. No pain no gain..it is expensive and the machine is expensive for the drs to own...I am a huge believer in Fraxel and Fraxel repair.

Hi It will tighten it and reduce your wrinkles.. My husband..a plastic surgeon..likes to use human collagen under eyes..it is a really hard place to inject.. and do that after your Fraxel.. it really works for me... Please make sure to go to a really good derm or plastic surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery or dermatology.. you should always be careful with your face.. T

I have had two Fraxel treatments in La Jolla (neck & chest) and have two more to go - NO PAIN whatsoever . . . the practitioner numbs me up for an hour prior to commencing the laser treatment. I have slight redness after the procedure that goes away by evening but that is about it. I drive myself to and from ther appointment. I had a short scar facelift and breast augmentation 4 weeks ago . . . the Fraxel is the final touch on my mid-life overhaul. I am doing Fraxel on the neck instead of a necklift - I really love the results so far.

Several posters do not mention which Fraxel treatment they had done. I had fraxel repair done 3 months ago in Charlotte,NC and I love the results. The 1st 4 days I hardly recognized myself, I was so swollen. I had my neck and face done and I'm glad I did both at the same time. I feel so much better about myself. I still have some wrinkles but I notice the biggest difference around my eyes, neck and jowls. I think the results depend on the settings of the machine. My eyes were set at 30% density &25 mj,neck@40% & 30mj, and face @ 40% and 60mj. I'm not sure, but I think the swelling may be at least partially due to the dental blocks. It seems like there were about 20 blocks. I never had much pain, but the discomfort from the swelling and constant oozing was miserable. I would advise sleeping in a chair for a couple of days as the face swells when you lay down. Mornings are the worst. The first day I woke up and looked in the mirror, I got weak and almost passed out it was so horrible looking. You'll love the results for wrinkles, but ask about the settings and discuss the mj as well. They say 4-5 days, but there was no way I could go out for a week and then I looked beet red. I'm still redder in the neck and chin area. I hope this helps someone

The fraxel website is not the best place to find your doc....My doc is on the site and in retrospect he doesn't have a clue..and is new at this procedure.... You have to ask specific questions... How many have you done with my skin type?? Waht type of complication are you aware of?? What is your procedure if they happen??? Don't settle for vague answers I've had amazing results with yadi yadi..... Could be one person!!! That is not experience with this technology... You must be specific take a list of questions so you don't get off base... Finding a doctor that has extensive experience with new technology id imparative to success..... They can get experience on somewhere else....You are paying about the same amount... Get the best ... This is your FACE!!!!! Sorry docs but you would get the best if it was your face.... If someone is learning this procedure they need to start with the body and procede slowly... The company should provide free tips for practice or treatments on severe cases for practice...Not paying customers with minor issues... To many are going to town from the get go,,, without proper training a indepth understanding of the laser or skin ect and causing major problems....

The blue dye is a thing of the past. Some good advice above when considering any procedure. It is hard to respond when you dont know what complication you had from that dr. and if so you should report it to the company so they can send their trainer over. I would ask how many fraxels have you performed? How many complications have happened with you and what are they? what is the real down time? Are you a board certified derm or plastic surgeon..? We dont want a gyno who does fraxel after a weekend course or even botox for that matter.. What is their training in? I am sorry but dentists, gynos, internests etc.. Fraxel website is a good place to start but referrals from happy patients are even better. I am the host of Beauty Now and married to board certified plastic surgeon who was the first here to get a machine and trains drs... Also, who does the procedure, the nurse or dr? Good advice above but expand on it.. The company does train Drs. and sometimes the DRs get overzealous but my husband has never had a problem with any patient. The thing that happens is your face can be swollen, you can break out, and some people have no problems at all.. It is worth it in the end. I have seen amazing reversal of sun damage and problem skin.. A Good Dr should be doing about 10 Fraxels per week at least.. nbtt
