“Fraxel Re:store ”
Today was my first fraxel re: store treatment for acne scarring on my cheeks. So this treatment is not painless, in fact it is pretty intense-but tolerable.
The person who performed my treatment has had advanced training with fraxel and that was very evident. She talked me through the entire process and it helped me to feel very confident in her skill and the treatment itself.
I'm pretty swollen right now, but was told to expect it to subside within 48-72 hours.

UPDATE
So my swelling was actually pretty bad (4 full days), I think this is because I swell badly if you look at me wrong and I was treated with aggresive settings.
The scarring on my cheeks is noticably smoother- I still have very pink cheeks, that is easily covered with lycogel.
I'm pretty impressed with what I see so far-1 down, 5 more to go.

Update
2nd treatment was great!
So I just had my second of six treatments and it was much better this time around-I attribute this to knowing what to expect and also taking a steroid for swelling. I was swollen for about 4 days instead of a solid week, and the redness was just expected. My acne scars are so much better, so I look forward to the rest of my treatments. If you have acne scarring please don't give Fraxel another thought and just get started, obviously you want to make sure the person that is doing the treatments knows what the heck they are doing!
