Worth It
Spent: $1,500 in Chestnut Hill

They said it would hurt. My skin feels like new and my acne scars have improved significantlly! I can't wait for the next treatment. Make sure they use high energy. I was told they could make it hurt less but I would not be happy with under treatment. I was red (Sunburn) for two days. I would highly recommend Fraxel (re:store?)is what they called it.

Was this your first treatment? Did you have scars on your nose? do you notice large pores shrinking? Thanks

Hi: I had an appointment today at Skin Care Physicians in Chestnut hill. I found the office to be well run, and the Doctor and nurse were very nice and knowledgeable. I am trying to figure out why there are so many negative comments about this office? Have you had further treatments? Thanks

Cyndan, I have not written a review yet but did want to warn Skin Care Physicians (in Chestnut Hill)...
It's a large practice so perhaps some doctors are better than others but one of the doctors in their office is the reason I ended up needed Fraxel to fix deep scars from a rebound reaction I had to one of the medications I was told to use. The details: I went to Dr Kim several times and she diagnosed me with eczema. Gave me Elidil. Didn't work. have me several other topical creams and finally gave me Protopic. She never told me to wean off slowly from this and when I stopped because the conditions seemed improved it roared back causing deep, hive like bumps that left significant scars. I finally went to a derm. who was a little shocked at the medical records I showed her. I assumed this was a freak thing until several others (two co-workers and a neighbor) said they had negative experiences with this practice. My impression id that they are more cosmetic physicians who are running a business rather than doctors who treat/evaluate/care about patients.

Apologies for the rant, I am still annoyed about the experience. Happily, I've since had two rounds of Fraxel and the damage seems to be reversed.
